Metroparks is working with the Northwest Ohio Rails-to-Trails Association (NORTA) on a plan to pave the North Folk of the Wabash-Cannonball Trail an additional 10 miles from where the current pavement leaves off at Lucas-Fulton Road to County Road 11 in Fulton County (two miles east of Wauseon). The park system is applying for a grant that will fund 95 percent of the cost. Metroparks has pledged the 5 percent matching funds and has committed to patrol and service the trail. NORTA has agreed to manage the long-term maintenance of the trail.
Metroparks and NORTA are seeking public input on this plan, and a public meeting will be held later this spring. This survey is an additional way for you to give feedback.
