Thanks to all who attended the Toledo Ride of Silence, together we made a difference!  We had over 200 cyclists participate along with 100 in Bowling Green. Please save the date for the next Ride of Silence on May 16, 2018 and hope to see you there. If you bring a friend that has never participated, we can yell even louder!

The 8th Annual Toledo Ride of Silence will be held on May 17 starting and ending at the UT Parking Lot 1 North, located at the corner of Bancroft and North Towerview Blvd.  The ride will be slow-paced (12 mph Max.) covering ~7.8 miles.  We will be escorted by Toledo City Police, Ottawa Hills Police and UT Police on route.  Helmets are required. This event is free and open to the public.  No registration necessary.

We will depart promptly at 7PM so please arrive 6:30~6:45PM.  During the ride, we will pause at Ottawa Hills HS in memory of Dave Larabee, killed on his way home from work in 2005, Toledo Children's Hospital in memory of Dr. Stephen Snedden, killed while biking along River Road in Perrysburg Township, and Ottawa Park in honor of Robert Brundage.  We will remember and honor Tom SantoroEric Ramlow, Douglas Kania, Sierah JoughinMatthew Billings, James Lambert, Sierah JoughinEmilee Gagnon, Harvey Bell III, Andy Gast, Jimmy Hughey, Jeff Roth and others prior to the start of the ride.  This is a community event supported by the Maumee Valley AdventurersMaumee Valley Wheelmen, Toledo Bikes and Toledo Area Bicyclists.

Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph) in  honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. There is no brochure, no sponsors and no registration fees.  The ride, which is held during Bike Safety month, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a  legal right to the public roadways.

Thanks to all who attended our 2016 event, we had over 200 cyclists participate.  The night was highlighted by comments from Maureen Billings and Meg Ramlow before the start of our ride, thank you for your courage and your words are making a big impact beyond those in attendance!
